The need to deliver innovative solutions to customers led us to establish the partnership we are going to talk about today. Acting in an agile and solid way, we help this fintech to make available to its users two incredible projects: the Pix Withdrawal/Pix Change and the payment of the card bill by automatic debit.
Digital banks emerged to deliver what Brazilian consumers need in their daily lives: agility, personalized service and lower cost. Knowing that the Brazilian population is increasingly digital, the first project we are going to talk about allowing customers to start using Pix Change.
Considered one of the greatest inventions ever made by the Central Bank of Brazil, as many already know, Pix is completely free and is a means of payment available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and with an experience, 100% focused on the user.
Implementation of Pix Change
With the obligation imposed by BACEN, our client, which is one of the largest digital banks today and is aware of all business trends, implemented Pix Withdrawal/Pix Change within its platform.
Using Datum’s expertise to build technological solutions and deliver products centred on user experience, during the two months of implementation of this functionality, the company began to explore this resource, where the main challenges encountered were:
Meeting the deadline, respecting standards so that the product could be made available;
Monitoring of the necessary standards to fulfill the requirements and then start the operation.
Payment by automatic debit card bill
Datum helped the digital bank to implement the functionality of payment of the credit card bill through automatic debit – a functionality that helps to reduce default and the costs generated with the issuance of payment slip. This feature allows you to pay the invoice online, in addition to providing the QR Code to make the payment through Pix.
Below you can check the technologies used by Squad as a Service:
- IOS (Swift – native language);
- Android (Kotlin);
- AWS Lambda.
The project, which was developed in 2 months, faced a series of challenges for its full operation. Check out the main challenges below:
- Solution scalability;
- Ensure that automatic debit payments are processed on time so as not to generate interest for the user.
The popularization of financial services through digital channels is also essential to promote financial inclusion. The Household Budget Survey (POF) 2017-2018 – Profile of Expenses, released by the IBGE, revealed that the proportion of Brazilians who lived in families where no one had at least one of the banking services was 16.7%. This means that in addition to digital banks being practical, agile and efficient, they are also inclusive. They are opening doors to people of all social classes and offering a series of benefits to Brazilians.
