The goal of a company’s culture code is to direct people so they follow values capable of guiding the organization to success. Organizational culture contributes to talent retention and decreases turnover indexes by engaging employees in behaviors shared by everyone.
Being a tech lover is one of the basic principals in our community at Datum.
Why are we tech lovers
At Datum, people believe technology moves the world. We exist to impact the global IT market with innovation, high technology and agile team management. We help our clients build technological journeys and we encourage our employees to specialize according to the market trends.
“Since 1999, we have launched over 200 products all over Brazil, uniting high performance teams and cutting-edge technology. All of this happened due to different initiatives that encourage Datum employees to evolve constantly or, as we say around here: to be the protagonists of their own stories”, highlights Carine Bruxel, CTO at Datum.
How does Datum encourage people to be tech lovers?
Whoever is a part of Datum has access to a series of initiatives that support employees in sharing theirs love for technology. Through career mentoring that looks at opportunities and innovation, through programs such as ‘Protagonists’, ‘Chapters’, ‘The Developer’s Conference (TDC)’ and so on, they can advance in their studies and be recognized in different ways.
Protagonists
The real life game called ‘Protagonists’, awards employees on their study hours. We encourage Datum’s community to always search for knowledge and to specialize in their respective areas. That is the reason whay this action was created: to bring more visibility to those who are being the champions of their careers.
Those who finish the Development Plans, give a feedback and inform their study time (be it in MBA’s, post graduations etc.) are awarded with amazing prizes. In addition to that, every six months, the Protagonists Award takes place – a virtual ceremony that rewards the most dedicated employees with trips, gadgets and gastronomical experiences.
Chapters
Many professionals feel the need to discuss with coworkers their every-day challenges. The Chapters came up to remedy this need. Divided by groups, people from the same area participate in frequent meetings to find solutions, think of better practices, ask for suggestions and learn from other professionals.
For us, these moments are essential, because we know that passion for technology is even greater when shared.
The Developer’s Conference (TDC)
We are sponsors of the largest software development event in the country, where employees have the chance to speak on subjects of their domain and/or interest. This moment is important, as it offers the exchange of learning and networking among the tech community.
